| The “Italian Fruit & Vegetable Export” directory was first published in 1958 to encourage trade between European fruit and vegetable operators. |  |

It was an immediate success and in 1972 it expanded to include all of Europe under the new title "MEC Ortofrutticolo". This was a natural development and in a very short time it became an irreplaceable reference point for fruit and vegetable importers and exporters. Today, as then, we are encouraged in our efforts by the many letters of thanks that we receive from all over Europe. |

| In 1991, in order to cover the entire European market, the MEC supplement "FruitNEWSLETTER" was brought out. |  |
