CARMEN
This is a medium to large sized, pyriform fruit with an average weight of about 190 grams. The skin has a yellow-green hue with rosy-red tints covering 20-30% of the surface. The lenticels are large and clearly visible. The medium-fine pulp is juicy, tasty and aromatic and keeps well. The fruit is harvested (generally twice) in mid and late July, 20-25 days before the "Williams". The fruit does not become overripe and is very resistant to handling and transport. Its refrigerated "shelf life" is also usually very long.
