SAGITTARIA
This variety was obtained with a "Royal Glory x Flordstar" hybrid by O. Insero at the "Istituto Sperimentale per la Frutticoltura" in Caserta. The weight of the fruit varies from 150 to 170 grams. It is completely round, symmetrical with a slightly dipping or rounded apex and a superficial suture line. The fruit's yellow skin is almost completely covered with a bright red hue. The skin clings to the pulp but is not particularly tomentous. The yellow pulp is red veined, consistently firm and clings to the stone. This variety ripens early and is particularly interesting for its colour, shape, size, taste and smell.
